Bhubaneswar: One of the looter in the Bhubaneswar star hotel marriage robbery was arrested from Baliapanda area in Puri today. He was nabbed by the security guard from a Puri hotel.
The accused has been identified as Ritesh Sisodiya of Madhya Pradesh. He is 20-years-old. A trolley bag was seized from his possession. The police arrested and court forwarded him.
The Maitri vihar police is carrying further enquiry in relation to the big loot in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Two looters posed as guests and entered the marriage function of a doctor couple at a Star hotel in Bhubaneswar on Monday.
While the couple and their family members were busy taking pictures and attending other guests, two miscreants dressed in suit, took away Rs2.5 lakh, gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 12 lakh from the wedding venue. These were among the gifts that the couple had received. Police identified the robbers from CCTV footages. They stole away everything in just 15 minutes and left the scene in a car.
