Miscreants hack youth in Bhubaneswar, victim hospitalized
The group of unidentified miscreants reportedly chased the youth, who has been identified as Rudra Patra of Chakeisiani locality of the State Capital City, and hacked him several times with different sharp weapons.
Bhubaneswar: Throwing an open challenge to the Commissionerate Police, a group of 4-5 miscreants reportedly hacked a youth in full public view in the Mancheswar Industrial Estate area of Bhubaneswar this evening.
The group of unidentified miscreants reportedly chased the youth, who has been identified as Rudra Patra of Chakeisiani locality of the State Capital City, and hacked him several times with different sharp weapons, mostly swords.
Patra is said to have sustained grievous injuries on his hands, legs, shoulders and elbows following the murderous attack on him in the presence of others .
The unknown persons, before anyone could identify them, fled soon after hacking Patra multiple times. He was rescued and rushed to the Capital Hospital in a very critical condition. Later, he was shifted to the AIIMS Bhubaneswar as his condition worsened further.
While the exact cause of the murderous attack on the youth is yet to be known, the crime is suspected to have been taken place due to previous enmity.
Meanwhile, the Mancheswar Police reached the spot after getting information and started an investigation into the matter. They are reportedly collecting footages of the CCTV cameras installed in and around the crime spot. Effort by the cops is also underway to trace and track the hackers of Rudra Patra.
