Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a 7-year-old minor girl was reportedly sexually assaulted by some outsiders in in the Hindol police station area of Dhenkanal district. The culprits then fled the scene after covering her with leaves.
The family members searched for the girl after she went missing while playing and found her in a serious condition under a tree near the village. She was taken to Hindol hospital and subsequently referred to Anugul District Headquarters Hospital for treatment. Upon receiving the news, the Hindol police and scientific team launched an investigation, the SDPO and sniffer dog carrying out the probe.
The family of the victim has demanded severe action against the accused, demanding justice for the girl. The probe is still under way, and officials are making efforts to identify and arrest the culprits.
