Melanistic tiger sighted in Similipal of Odisha! Watch
Baripada: A melanistic tiger has reportedly been sighted in Similipal tiger Reserve in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha recently. IFS officer Susanta Nanda posted a video on his X handle regarding the sighting.
Nanda took to X and posted the video. He wrote in the caption, “Tiger sighting by tourists at Simlipal…May be 1st after a long long time. And that too a melanistic one. It has taken Herculean efforts by the team in securing the Tiger Reserve. Introduction of Jimny vehicles for Safari recently has made this possible. Kudos team Simlipal.
Earlier in July Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) Susanta Nanda had said that a melanistic tiger safari near Similipal tiger reserve in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha has got an approval.
