Mayurbhanj: 2 die, 2 critical in series accident caused by drunk driver

Baripada: A man driving a truck in an inebriated condition caused a series of accidents damaging several vehicles here in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha on Wednesday. As many as two persons died while two others sustained critical injury in this series accident.

As per reports, on Wednesday evening a driver was driving a truck laden with cement bags. The truck had come from Tangi. During the return journey the driver reportedly had consumed bear and was driving when the truck hit a bike rider. Later, the truck mowed down to pedestrians also.

Following the incident as the driver was trying to flee from the scene along with the truck, the locals from Baripada Bazar nabbed him. Later, they handed over the driver to Police.
