Baripada: A major fire broke out at a carton factory near Manchabandha on the outskirts of Odisha’s Baripada town in Mayurbhanj district late last night.
Lakhs of properties were destroyed the fire mishap. Around 4-5 trucks of cartons have been reduced to ashes in the fire, sources said.
However, no casualties or injuries reported in the incident.
According to reports, locals spotted smoke emanating from the factory around midnight and alerted the family members of the owner of the factory, who reside on the same building.
On being informed, Fire brigade officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
The exact reason behind the mishap is yet to be ascertained, official said.
