Man’s private parts chopped off and killed in Odisha’s Bhanjanagar, Probe on

Bhanjanagar: The body of man with chopped private parts has been recovered in Bhanjanagar of Odisha’s Ganjam district. The incident has come to the fore from Jodabandha village under Jagannathprasad police limits of the district.

According to sources, the deceased, identified as Chittaranjan Sahu went missing on Sunday evening. After he went missing, his family along with villagers initiated a search operation. While searching, he was found lying dead on pool of blood.

Following this, they immediately informed police about the incident. On receiving information, police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy. The cops also seized a blade, slippers and mobile from the spot and initiated a probe into the matter.

As per sources, the police have detained one suspect and are interrogating him. Further detailed reports related to the incident are awaited.

Earlier, in a similar instance, a youth allegedly beheaded his grandfather and then roamed the village with the severed head in his hand in Sundergarh district of Odisha on Monday. The incident took place in the Purunapani village under K Balang Police Station limits in Koida area.
