Balasore: The man who allegedly killed his father in Balasore district of Odisha has finally been arrested by the police, said reports on Thursday. It is worth noting that the man had been missing since June 22.
Reports say that, Ramesh Behera of Garsong village under Simulia police station limits of Balasore District allegedly killed his father Prabhakar Behera and buried him in the farmland behind the house. He had then fled for fear of arrest.
The police registered a case in 174/24 and conducted an investigation. A team of Simulia police arrested Ramesh from Hyderabad and brought him to the police station. The police informed that he shall be taken to Garsang village today for investigation.
Reports say that, Prabhakar’s daughter Mamata Mallik lodged a complaint at Simulia Police Station. As per the complaint, it was suspected that the son Ramesh had committed the murder of his parents burying them in the farm behind their house. The neighbours grew suspicious when they saw the house locked for 6 days and heard dogs barking at the place. After knowing about the situation, the daughter came and searched over and over thoroughly but couldn’t find anyone. She then sought police help as her last resort.
Upon receiving the complaint, the police started their investigation into the case. Today, the Magistrate and the scientific team recovered a decomposed body upon digging 4 feet deep in the farm behind the house. It was believed then that the man had also killed his mother.
But later however, the mother of the man mysteriously appeared in the village in a dazed state, shocking the entire village. Police investigation is still on relating to this incident. Further detailed reports awaited.
