Man turns critical as miscreants open fire in Odisha’s Angul
The shootout took place near the Eco Park in Sikhyakpada area under Angul Town Police Station limits.
Angul: In a shocking incident a man turned critical while another got injured after miscreants opened fire on them in Angul district of Odisha yesterday night. The shootout took place near the Eco Park in Sikhyakpada area under Angul Town Police Station limits.
The victim has been identified as Bhabani Shankar Pradhan.
As per the information received, last night, when Bhabani Shankar was standing in front of the Eco Park, three miscreants came on a motorcycle and opened fire on him. And they fled from the scene.
He was then rescued in a critical condition and was first shifted to Angul District Headquarters Hospital. However, as his health condition deteriorated he was then shifted to Cuttack for treatment.
Another person was also injured in the miscreants’ attack.
It is suspected that the shooting was due to past enmity.
