Ganjam: Police arrested two persons in connection to the decomposed body recovered earlier near Thakurani temple at Badagada village under Shergada police station limits in Ganjam district this morning.
The decomposed body of a woman was near Thakurani temple on October 26, 2024. This morning police has arrested her husband Pintu Naik and his accomplice, Tirtha Naik.
The deceased was identified as Jhumuri Naik aka Lakshmi of Dhaugaon village under Dharakot police station limits.
According to sources, Jhumuri was allegedly in an extramarital affair with her husband’s cousin of Manikpur area. Suspecting this extramarital affair Pintu along with Tirtha killed her. Police has arrested and court forwarded them.
