Demanding rehabilitation prior to the beginning of the work of the project, the local women’s organisation had staged a demonstration for the last seven days. They demanded compensation and rehabilitation of the affected villagers as per the 2013 rehabilitation policy.
However, they withdrew their stir after district collector Ashish Thakare, during a meeting, assured to provide compensation and rehabilitate the affected people soon.
