Low pressure over Bay of Bengal, rainfall to lash out from August 17
Cyclonic circulation forms into Low pressure over Bay of Bengal, heavy to very heavy rainfall to continue till August 17
Bhubaneswar: The cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal has transformed into a low pressure. The low pressure will mostly affect the Northern Andhra and Southern Odisha.
In the next 24 hours, the low pressure will intensify into a well-marked low pressure. It will advance in the direction of Northern coastal Andhra and Southern Odisha in the next 48 hours.
As a result, heavy to very heavy rainfall rainfall is expected to lash out in the state.
Malkangiri and Koraput have been issued an orange alert warning. The low pressure induced rains are likely to continue till August 17.
IMD has predicted heavy to very heavy rainfall in these two districts for August 13, 14 and 15. The fishermen have been asked not to go in the turbulent seas.
