Low pressure in Bay of Bengal, rain likely during Durga Puja in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: A Low-Pressure Area over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal is being experienced said latest reports by the IMD on Saturday.

Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over southeast Bay of Bengal a low pressure area has formed over southwest and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal. It is likely to intensify further into a depression over west-central Bay of Bengal.

According to reports, rain may hinder the worship and darshan in Odisha during Durga Puja, say reliable reports from the local MeT office.

The enthusiasm of Durga Puja shall be a rain-soaked one, say the latest weather bulletin. A low pressure may be formed ahead of the Pujas. The low pressure may lead to heavy to very heavy rain in the state.
