Low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal, to turn into a cyclone today!
Bhubaneswar: A low pressure has formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal. It will move west and north-westwards and turn into a depression today. It may intensify further and turn into a cyclone in the coming days.
As per reports, a low pressure has formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal. Later, it will move north-westwards and head towards Tamil Nadu or Sri Lanka.
If it becomes a cyclone, its name will be Pengal. However, it will not have any impact on Odisha. Of course, due to its influence, light rain is likely in Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khordha, Kendrapara and Jagatsinghpur districts on 27th November, the Regional Meteorological Center has predicted.
Meanwhile, international meteorologist Jason Nichols has predicted the possibility of a cyclone. According to his speculations, the low pressure formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal will turn into a depression within a day or two. It will turn into a cyclone by the end of next week. It is likely to make landfall in South India.
