Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area has formed over the southeast Bay of Bengal and the adjoining Indian Ocean near the eastern equatorial region, informed the regional Meteorological Center in Bhubaneswar.  The low pressure formed at around 5:30 PM on January 5, as per weather reports.

Moreover, the low-pressure area is expected to become well-marked and intensify further within the next 24 hours.

The regional Meteorological Center is keeping an eye on the system for further developments.
