Khurda: In the case of the body of the girl found in Khurda district of Odisha, the lover of the girl has been arrested by the Commissionerate Police informed Police Commissioner S. Devdutt Singh.
According to reports, the accused has been arrested by the Commissionerate Police. On Saturday, Police Commissioner S. Devdutt Singh gave this information in a press conference. The accused has been identified as Debashish. He has admitted to the police that he took the girl there, killed her and dumped her body.
It is worth mentioning here that, the body of the girl was recovered from a stone quarry in Kalingamundia on Friday. The girl is from Bharatpur police station area.
The deceased girl has been identified as Nirupama Parida alias Mita. She worked as a care taker in Bharatpur area of Bhubaneswar. She went missing last January. The family complained to Bharatpur police station about this. But the police could not find the girl’s whereabouts.
After about eight months, Debashish was caught and questioned and he confessed to the murder. Debashish went to the scene with the police to show them where he had dumped the body.
