Lord Jagannath and his siblings return back to Srimandir, Nilachal Abhada to be available today

Puri: Lord Jagannath and his siblings have returned back to Srimandir and Nilachal Abhada shall be available from today, said reports. The Lord returned from his nine-day sojourn which started with the Rath Yatra and ended with Niladri Bije. A lot of enthusiasm has been seen among the devotees to get the special Abhada. Special arrangements have been made by the administration so that the devotees can get this bhoga or prashad easily.

On the return of Lord Jagannath devotees thronged the shrine to witness the Lord of the universe has he returned to his holy abode. Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra entered their holy shrine and sat on their Ratnabedi yesterday. This ritual is known as Niladri Bije which is observed after Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesha of the Holy Trinity.

Yesterday after the completion of Sandhya arati and other evening rituals, the deities came out of their chariots and entered the Srimandir through the Singha dwara. The idols of Madan Mohana and Ramakrishna were taken first, followed by Shri Sudarsana, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra. Lord Jagannath was the last to enter into the temple.

However, as per rituals, Lord Jagannath was stopped from entering into the shrine by Devi Mahalaxmi as she is angry with him for not taking her with them to the Gundicha temple. To persuade her and ask for forgiveness, Lord Jagannath offered her Rasagola.

The procession of the Holy Trinity entering into the temple was accompanied with traditional music and dance, creating an atmosphere of joy and devotion. During this rituals, Puri’s Badadanda gets filled with sounds of conch shells, bells, and chants.
