The foot march named as “Deomalire Nirbhaya Sandesh” would start from the vitim’s village Sorisapadar and would conclude at the DIG office in the district headquarter.
“We will hold the foot march protesting against state government’s slow probe in the gang rape case. Our party demands quick action against the accused involved in the crime as well as compensation to the victim”, Koraput MLA Krushna Chandra Sagaria.
OPCC president Prasad Harichandan, senior party leaders like Narasingha Mishra, Niranjan Patnaik, and Jaydev Jena, Pradeep Majhi would participate in the march, he added.
Notably, the minor girl from Mushaguda village under Pottangi police limits was abducted and brutally gang raped allegedly by a group of security personnel in uniform, while she was returning from Kunduli haat on October 10 .
Police have detained four persons from the victim’s village so far while probing the case.
