Bhubaneswar: The city-based KIIT University, founded by eminent educationist Achyuta Samanta, has been officially awarded the title for the Highest Blood Collection for the year 2025.
This prestigious title for the Highest Blood Collection for the year 2025 recognition was conferred by the Red Cross Regional Blood Centre, Bhubaneswar.
In the year 2025, the maximum number of units of blood was collected in the blood donation programmes organized by KIIT University. For which, KIIT has been felicitated by the Red Cross.
Every year, the World Blood Donor Day is celebrated on June 14.
On this occasion, selfless individuals and organizations who have done outstanding work in the field of blood donation are felicitated.
This year, the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Odisha State celebrated World Blood Donor Day yesterday.
At this event, Professor Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT University, received the award on behalf of KIIT.
Expressing happiness on this, KIIT and KIMS founder Dr. Achyuta Samanta said that KIIT and KIMS organize huge blood donation programs every year. In this, a large number of volunteers donate blood.
