Keonjhar: Rs. 312 cr makeover for Maa Tarini Peetha: CM Majhi lays foundation stone

Ghatagaon: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi laid the foundation stone for the development of Maa Tarini Peetha in Ghatagaon, Keonjhar district, with a whopping investment of ₹312 crore. The project aims to transform the sacred site into a world-class spiritual and tourist destination, enhancing infrastructure and amenities for devotees.

The development work, spread across 60 acres, will feature modern facilities, including a 216-bed pilgrim residence, a food plaza, a watchtower, and a market complex. The project is expected to be completed within a year, boosting religious tourism and regional development.

Chief Minister Majhi emphasized the government’s commitment to preserving the cultural and spiritual heritage of the shrine while providing world-class facilities. He also announced additional funding for housing for temple caretakers and highlighted the potential for Keonjhar to become a major steel hub, following the footsteps of Rourkela and Jajpur.
