Kalinga TV joins family and friends to bid emotional farewell to “Kanduri Jeje” Ayas Kanta Swain, founder Achyuta Samanta assures job for his wife, free education for son
Ayas Kanta Swain, one of the valuable employees of Kalinga TV and who is famous as “Kanduri Jeje,” was laid to rest on Monday.
Puri: Ayas Kanta Swain, one of the valuable employees of Kalinga TV and who is famous as “Kanduri Jeje,” was laid to rest on Monday. His family members, friends, co-artists along with some employees of Kalinga TV including Managing Director Himansu Khatua bid him an emotional farewell as he was cremated at Puri Swarg Dwara. His only son lit the pyre.
On this occasion, employees of Kalinga TV and KNews Odisha organized meetings to mourn Ayas Kanta’s sad and shocking demise. They offered him floral tributes and expressed condolences over his untimely death.
KIIT, KISS and Kalinga TV’s founder Achyuta Samanta also expressed his deep grief over the death Ayas Kanta. Time and again, Samanta had highly appreciated and felicitated Ayas Kanta for his dedicated and successful works and loving personality.
Apart from praying for his departed souls, Samanta also expresses solace to his bereaved family members. He also announced to provide job to Ayas Kanta’s wife as per her qualification and free education to his son.
It is to be noted here that Ayas Kanta, who is a versatile actor, was part of the Manana Natya Sanstha group and was in Puri to perform on the fourth evening of the 15th National Theatre Festival, organised by Rangashala. However, he suffered a heart attack and collapsed while reciting his dialogues during the rehearsal.
Immediately, he was rushed to Puri district headquarters hospital for treatment. However, doctors declared him brought dead. He has acted several television programs and he had won the “Best Screenplay Award” during the State Tele Award presentation in 2017. Besides, he has shown his versatile acting skills in over a hundred plays. Ayas Kanta also had worked as a co-director of several plays.
