Kalinga TV Colloquium-2024 held in Bhubaneswar of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Kalinga TV, one of the leading news (infotainment) channels of the Odisha, organized ‘Colloquium-2024’ on Saturday at a hotel in the capital city of Odisha. The theme of the program was Bikashit (Developed) Odisha @ 2036.
The dignitaries who graced Colloquium 2024 were Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singhdeo, Law and Excise Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Food Supply, Consumer Welfare Minister Krishna Chandra Patra, and Housing and Urban Development and Public Enterprises Minister Krishna Chandra Mohapatra. Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Minister Gokulanand Mallick was also present on this occasion.
The speakers informed about the various steps being taken by the ruling government for the development of the State. Along with this, they stressed that Odisha will be recognized as a developed state in the world by 2036.
Speaker Surama Padhy spoke about the development picture of Odisha and Odia identity (Odia Asmita) in his speech. Minister Krishna Chandra Patra said that he is emphasizing on creating new cities, providing all facilities even to the slum dwellers and handling traffic problems.
Deputy Chief Minister K.V. Singhdeo said that he wants to make the entire farm lands in the state chemical fertilizer-free and organically farmed by 2036. He also gave an example of removing the confusion regarding smart meters.
Minister Gokulanand Mallick said that the government has given importance to One District One Product, while Krishna Chandra Patra informed about the establishment of rice ATMs in every district, the importance of science awareness and the establishment of a mathematics university in the state.
Similarly, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan assured to completely stop illegal selling of country liquor in the state within a year.
Dr. Achyta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS and Kalinga TV, delivered the welcome speech.
Kalinga TV’s Chief Managing Director Himansu Khatua gave information about vision of Kalinga TV, while Editor-in-Chief Soumyajit Patnaik proposed the vote of thanks.
On this occasion, personalities from different walks of life were felicitated. A new social media channel of Kalinga TV, Western Odisha Bulletin ‘Kalinga TV Tihar’, was launched on the stage.
