Kalarahanga Panchayat GRS Under Vigilance Scanner

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance conducted a raid on properties associated with the Gram Rozgar Sevak (GRS) of  Kalarahanga Gram Panchayat in Bhubaneswar on Monday morning on the allegation of accumulation of disproportionate assets.

The GRS has been identified as Babuli Charan Padhihari.

Simultaneous searches are being conducted by the Odisha Vigilance team led by three DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and other staff.

Based on a piece of reliable information, the vigilance sleuths have conducted raids at six places in Bhubaneswar on the strength of search warrants issued by the Hon’ble Court of Spl. Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar.

1- One Tripple storyed building located over Plot no. 146/3736, Mausima Temple, Raghunathapur, Bhubaneswar.

2-One double storyed building located at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar.

3-One Asbestos House over plot no. 419, Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar.

4-One Flat no.102,Block -B type-2, at Ashirbad Plaza Apartment, Bhubaneswar.

5-House at native village Raghunathpur , Bhubaneswar.

6- Office at Kalarahanga(O/o RI Kalarahanga), Bhubaneswar.

Till the last reports came in following assets were unearthed:

1. Triple storeyed building over plot No.1468/3736 at Raghunathpur, Bhubaneswar near Mausima Temple on Bhubaneswar Nandankanan Road worth over Rs.1.24 Crore.

2. House over plot No.419, Khata No.246/539 at Dadha, Bhubaneswar recently purchased.

3. 2 BHK flat in Asirbad Plaza apartment, Bhubaneswar.

4. 59 Plots including 58 plots in prime area of Bhubaneswar & 1 plot at Belgachia, Cuttack.

The details of investments and deposits made in banks, insurance, other schemes are being verified. Vigilance Technical Wing is carrying out detailed measurement and assessment of the buildings.

Further search is underway and details are awaited.
