This was revealed by Kalahandi DFO on Tuesday.
The DFO said that forest officials are closely looking into the matter since the killing of the domestic animal on Sunday. They will stay in the village for some more days. CCTV cameras have been installed in the area.
The owner of the killed sheep Narendra Sabar lodged a complaint with the Kalampur police along with other sheep owners and sought compensation.
One of the 13 sheep of Sabar was found dead with its liver missing while another went missing on Sunday.
The incident has created panic in the area as it had strong similarities with the serial killing of sheep in Niali area of Cuttack district.
