Laxmipur: Jatra actress Nisha Maharana was denied permission to perform on stage, which didn’t go down well with the audience who had paid Rs 400-500 for tickets to watch her hot performance at the Jatra pandal in Laxmipur of Koraput district of Odisha last night.
As per information, the denial sparked outrage, and at 2 am yesterday night, the audience threw chairs on stage at the beginning of the opera.
The police prevented Nisha Maharana from taking the stage, triggering public discontent. The audience threw chairs on stage, causing a ruckus and destroying opera props. The audience vandalized the stage as soon as the play started, forcing the opera to be stopped midway.
