Jajpur man arrested in Bhubaneswar with six illegal guns

While speaking to the newsmen in a press conference today, Singh informed that the Commissionerate Police’s drive against illegal arms and weapons is going on for the last one year. During this period of time, we have achieved many important recoveries and enforcement. We have seized 34 weapons within six months, he mentioned.
Today, too the Special Crime Unit with specific intelligence tracked one Manoj Kumar Malick of Jajpur near a playground in Chandaka area and arrested him after recovering six semi-automatic pistols from his possession, the Police Commissioner said.
Besides, 10 rounds of ammunitions, mobile phone, a bike along with cash of Rs 500 were seized from him, he added.
Her further said that the accused person will be forwarded to the court after the paperwork and medical examination and such drive against illegal arms and weapons would continue.
