Internet services across Malkangiri have been restored after seven days following the recent outbreak of violence in MV-26 area
Malkangiri: The Internet services across Malkangiri have been restored today after seven days following the recent outbreak of violence in the MV-26 area earlier this month.
According to District Collector Somesh Kumar Upadhyay, the administration lifted BNSS 163 restrictions yesterday.
According to the district administration, the total damage caused during the violence at around Rs 3.80 crore. Essential services, including electricity supply and drinking water, have been fully restored across the affected areas.
Till now, Police have arrested six people in connection with the violence. Security forces, including BSF and State Armed Police, remain deployed at sensitive locations.
The administration is also providing cooked food and dry rations to affected families. Officials have assured that schools, which were closed as a precautionary measure, will be reopened soon.
