Incessant rain in Odisha has led to water logging in various parts of Cuttack district
Narsinghpur/Begunia: Various areas of Odisha have received incessant rain. As much as 4 feet deep water is running on the road in Cuttack and Khurda districts. The residents of different areas of Badamba block of Cuttack district are spending their lives trapped in water.
Badamba and Shankhmeri have been cut off. Thousands of hectares of farmland have been flooded. As a result, people are facing numerous problems. Similarly, Begunia and Bolgarh areas have been submerged in heavy rain.
As it has been raining since long, there is knee-high water running in the streets and villages. Water has entered houses in Thanapalli village of Bolgarh block. The water is flowing in the village. Vehicles and bikes have been submerged.
As there is no drainage system to remove the water, people are unable to leave their houses due to the water. On the other hand, water is running on the road from Khurda to Banki passing through Begunia area. Newly built small bridges have been washed away in many places. Many farm lands have been submerged.
