The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted thunderstorm and lightning over 21 districts of Odisha.
Bhubaneswar: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday predicted thunderstorm and lightning over 21 districts of Odisha.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning and gusty surface wind (wind speed reaching upto 30-40 kmph) very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Baleshwar, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghapur, Kataka, Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Sambalpur, Debagada, Anugola, Dhenkanal, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri till 8.30 AM tomorrow, said IMD.
The weather department also issued yellow warning for heavy rainfall at one or two places over the districts of Sundaragada, Jharsuguda, Baragada, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Nuapada, Balangir, Kalahandi, Nawarangpur, Koraput, and Malkangiri.
Besides, light to moderate rain or thundershower very likely to occur at many places over all the districts of Odisha.
