Illegal sand mining in Cuttack: Driver attempts to run over police, 3 officials injured
Illegal sand miners attempted to run over police as the officials reached the spot while they were trying to flee away.
Cuttack: In a shocking incident, the sand mafia attempted to run over the police. The incident happened in Kazipatna village under Sadar police limits in Cuttack district.
According to information, when they were smuggling the sand, police reached the spot after receiving a tip off. The police then tried to stop them.
In order to save themselves from getting caught. The illegal sand miners tried to run over the police’s vehicle.
As many as three police officials were injured due to the incident.
The driver fled the scene. The police seized the tractor and brought it to the police station.
It is worth mentioning here that the police had in an earlier case few days ago had seized the tractor for illegal sand mining.
