‘I was scared’: Odia girl Arpita Panda narrates her ordeal to Kalingatv

I am really happy that i am back to my own land India and was scared and afraid of the ongoing war in Israel, says Arpita Panda

Bhubaneswar: Glad to be home and traumatised by what they had seen in past few days in Israel. Israel had witnessed an unprecedented attack by Hamas in its southern parts on Saturday morning.

Atleast 3,200 have died on both sides after Israel-Hamas war entered its eighth day.

I am really happy that i am back to my own land India and was scared and afraid of the ongoing war in Israel. We woke up to sounds of siren and use to follow rules and go inside a safe bunker in order to protect ourselves. She also said that the nightmarish experience of the past few days haunt her. Almost no Odia students are there in Israel, Arpita shared her experience with our Delhi Bureau Chief Ashutosh Raut.

I am really thankful to Indian embassy in Israel and Odisha government. CM Naveen Patnaik efforts to bring Odia residents back from Israel is quite commendable, says Arpita Panda.

India has launched operation Ajay to facilitate return of those who wish to come back after attack on Israel by Hamas militants after fresh tension triggered in the area.
