I dedicate my medals to all Indians: Dutee Chand

Jakarta: Ace sprinter Dutee Chand on Wednesday dedicated her medals to her country men. Dutee dedicated her silver medals which she won at the 18th Asian Games. She has won silver medals in both 100m and 200m.

“I dedicate my medal to all Indians, 1st time an Indian female athlete is taking home medals in both 100m&200m,” said Dutee while speaking to ANI soon after winning the silver medal in the 200m race.

Speaking about her failure to win the gold medal she said, “I pushed too hard in semi-finals but couldn’t push in last 10m, by next competition I’ll be ready for gold.”

Notably, the 22-year-old sprinter from Odisha’s KIIT University won the silver medal with a timing of 23.20 second. Earlier she had won the silver medal by clocking 11.32 seconds in the 100m event on Sunday.
