Rairakhol: In a shocking incident, a man and his wife were hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in their house in Pandrisila village under Ghusuramal panchayat of Odisha’s Rairakhol last night.
The deceased has been identified as Abharam Khujur and wife Kuanri Khujur of the same village. Their bodies were lying in a pool of blood in their house.
As per reports, Abharam was sleeping on the verandah and wife inside their house. Some unknown miscreants barged in and killed the duo with sharp weapon and fled from the scene. On hearing the scream of Kuanri, family members rushed in and found both of them lying in a pool of blood.
It is suspected that his brother-in-law Tirka Karma was behind the double murders as he used to always quarrel with the duo husband and wife.
On being informed about the murder, Rairakhol IIC Sabita Lata and SDPO Prasanta Kumar Meher reached the spot and have started an investigation into the matter.
