Trouble mounted further for high-profile fraudster Hansita Abhilipsa as police registered yet another case against her alleging her of trafficking girls including foreign nationals.
Bhubaneswar: Trouble mounted further for high-profile fraudster Hansita Abhilipsa as police registered yet another case against her alleging her of trafficking girls including foreign nationals.
The Infocity Police registered the fresh case against Hansita Abhilipsa under Sections 120-B of IPC 1860, 67 of Information Technology Act 2000 and 5 of the Immortal Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956 based on the complaint registered by Manash Kumar Swain, the investigating officer of Special Crime Unit, Bhubaneswar.
Swain filed the complaint after finding photos and videos of several girls including some Russians from the laptop and phones of Hansita Abhilipsa during investigation.
Police also came across Hansita’s WhatsApp chatting with several girls and their audio recordings, said police adding that she used to traffic girls from several Indian Cities and Russia for influential persons, businessmen, and politicians to facilitate business agreements or secure political leverage.
Hansita’s prime objective to send girls to the persons, businessmen, and politicians was just to satisfy her potential targets, to finally grab a deal or get a tender passed in her favour, informed sources.
Earlier on January 17, the Infocity Police had filed a case against her for allegedly furnishing false information in her passport. After filing the case, the police intimated about it to the Bhubaneswar JMFC-2 court, which in turn informed Hansita Abhilipsa when she appeared before it.
It is to be noted here that the Infocity police arrested Hansita Abhilipsa and Anil Kumar Mohanty on December 30, 2024, on charges of duping several people by posing as the daughter and son-in-law of P K Mishra, the principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Cops have also seized several luxurious cars and other belongings from the duo, who have accumulated assets worth hundreds of crores through means of frauds.
