High level review meeting for Snan Purnima held at Police Headquarters

Cuttack: A high level review meeting for the security arrangements for Snan Purnima and Rath Yatra was held today. The meeting was chaired by Central range IG S Praveen Kumar at the State Police Headquarters(SPHQ) at Cuttack.
Puri SP Vineet Agrawal along with Additional SP, inspector in-charge (IIC) and other senior officials are present in the meeting. The Deva Snan Purnima falls on June 11. The security arrangements, traffic management were discussed in the meeting. For the Debasnana Purnima, 70 platoon police force will be deployed.
On June 9 the second General Body meeting will be held under the chairmanship of Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan.
The Rajendrabhishek Niti of Lord Jagannath at Puri Srimandir will be held today. The ritual will be held after the Sandhya Dhupa. After the Dhupa, the Lords will ascend on the ‘Madanamohan Khata’ after the ‘Angyanmala’.
The ritual is performed in the darkness after closing the Jayavijaya dwara of the Srimandir. After the ‘Alata Lagi Niti’, Dagara will propose about the marriage of Rukmini in front of Madanamohan.
After the Rajendrabhishek Niti, Madanamohan along with ‘Ghanta, Chata, Kahali and Patua’, the Lords will go for circumambulation (Bedha Parikrama).
