Heavy rainfall predicted till 24th August, yellow alert issued for 11 Odisha districts today

Due to the effect of the depression, rain is continuing in the interior Odisha.

Bhubaneswar: The depression is weakening. It will turn into a well-marked low-pressure area in the next 12 hours. It will gradually move west-northwestwards and head towards South Odisha and South Chhattisgarh.

Due to the effect of the depression, rain is continuing in the interior Odisha. Accordingly, the MeT Centre has predicted that heavy rain will continue till 24th August.

A yellow alert has been issued for 11 Odisha districts today for heavy rainfall. The alert has been issued for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Puri, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj.

The Meteorological Centre has also issued a warning of thunderstorms in various districts till 24th August.
