Heavy rain alert issued for Odisha in next 24 hours, heavy rain to continue till August 11

Bhubaneswar: Heavy rain alert has been issued for Odisha in next 24 hours. The regional Meteorological Centre on Wednesday predicted that heavy rain will continue in specified locations across the State till August 11.

As per the weather prediction, heavy rain will lash Odisha in the next 24 hours. And the downpour will continue till 11th August.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning as there is a possibility of thunderstorms and winds blowing at a speed of 30-40 km per hour.

There is a possibility of rain across the state for the next 24 hours, while a yellow warning has been issued for 21 districts for tomorrow.

Similarly, a cyclone is likely to form over South Bangladesh by 8th of August due to which there is a possibility of rain.

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has said that there has been normal rainfall during the monsoon season.
