Bargarh: A shocking and surprising incident was reportedly from Odisha’s Baragarh district in which a man was thrown into well after being beaten up by a group of miscreant, but miraculously he survived four days without food or water. This incident vividly proved the famous saying, “He whom God protects, no one can kill!”
According to reports, five persons allegedly assaulted one Tulasiram Bariha at around 3 PM on Sunday afternoon and thinking him to be dead they dumped him into a narrow well inside a nursery at Samalaipadar village under Bijepur block of the district before fleeing from the spot.
But fortunately, Bariha survived inside the well for nearly four days without food or water. Time and again he was continuing to cry for help.
The matter, however, came to the light today only when a local resident, who had gone to collect firewood near the nursery, heard his cries for help coming from the well and alerted other villagers.
Later, the local police and fire services carried a rescue operation and successfully pulled Bariha out of the well and admitted him at the Bijepur Community Health Centre for treatment.
Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the incident to identify the accused persons and arrest them.
