In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police has reportedly busted a hardcore robbery gang in Cuttack and arrested three of its members.
Cuttack: In a major breakthrough, the Commissionerate Police has reportedly busted a hardcore robbery gang in Cuttack and arrested three of its members.
According to reports, dreaded criminal Rabi Rao and two of his accomplices were arrested and forwarded to the court, said sources adding that police also seized a gun, four empty bullets, iron rods and knives from their possessions.
The Commissionerate police had been tracking this gang since long as it was involved in multiple robbery cases in Cuttack and Bhubaneswar for a long time. They robbed three different persons in one day in Cuttack CDA area and Choudwar.
This gang used to target people especially during morning commute. This gang used to come on bikes and rob people and escape. This gang used to even change roads and vehicles after robbing.
However, the police managed to arrest this gang today with the joint efforts of the special team and special squad. Hardik’s criminal Ravi Rao has 40 cases registered against him in various police stations of the Twin Cities and he was also previously encountered. Cuttack DCP informed the press conference that these accused will be brought to remand in the coming days.
