General Elections 2024: 21.07 percent voter turnout till 11am in Odisha

Odisha is voting,  the second phase of elections is going on in the state. By 11 am, the voter turnout in Odisha is said to be 21.07 percent. There has been 21.53 percent voting in Asika Lok Sabha constituency, 22.95 percent in Bargarh, 17.90 percent in Balangir, 21.19 percent in Kandhamal, 22.19 percent in Sundargarh. Similarly, in the assembly constituency, Bonai has seen the maximum voting at 34.56 percent. 11.58 percent voting in Kantaabanji is the lowest constituency.

Voting is going on today in five Lok Sabha and 35 Assembly seats. Polling is underway in Asika and Kandhamal and Balangir, Bargarh and Sundergarh Lok Sabha seats in the west and all the assembly seats under it.

About 80 lakh voters will decide the fate of 305 candidates. Voting is going on in 9 thousand 148 polling centers and 14 additional polling centers. Polling was delayed in a few booths due to EVM glitch in Odisha in a few places on Monday said reports. Voting has begun for the first phase elections in Odisha. During the second phase elections on Monday voting was delayed because of faulty Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
