Cuttack: Commissionerate Police busted a gambling den near the Ganga Mandir here and arrested 17 gamblers late on Sunday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Commissionerate Police conducted a raid on the den and arrested the accused from the spot. Besides, 15 mobile phones, 3 DLs, 30 packets of gambling cards, 8 bikes, 2 knives and some other illegal objects were seized from their possession. Police also recovered Rs 35,000 during the raid.
Sources at the police said that the arrested persons will be forwarded to the court today.
