The fresh set of Maoist posters were spotted by some commuters passing through the Baliguda-Budaguda main road late yesterday night. The posters hung on roadside signboards contained threatening messages from the Maoists. The commuters immediately took the matter to the notice of the Daringibadi Police.
However, locals in the Simanbadi village have complained that the police are making an inordinate delay in reaching the village. The fact that police did not take any step to remove posters put up on Wednesday emboldened the Red rebels to release more, they added.
Some residents of Simanbadi village claimed that the Phulbani SP Mitrabhanu Mohapatra is not picking up the phone despite repeated calls.
