Fresh low-pressure area likely to form over Bay of Bengal by October 6, Odisha to witness rainfall

Bhubaneswar: A low-pressure area is likely to form over the west-central Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood around October 6, informed the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) today.

The weather department also predicted light to moderate rain/thundershower over the districts of Odisha from October 4 to October 10.

Meanwhile, IMD has issued yellow warning saying thunderstorm with lightning are very likely to occur at isolated places in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Balasore, Nabarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput, Nuapada and Kalahandi till 8.30 AM tomorrow.

Likewise, light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur and Nuapada and at one or two places over the rest districts of Odisha, the weatherman said.
