Four youths attempt to murder girl after failing to gangrape her in Balasore!
The accused persons also attempted to gangrape the girl and kill her by crashing her head on stone for protesting their rape attempt.
Balasore: In a shocking incident, four youths allegedly attempted kill a 20-year-old girl after failing to rape her while she had gone to take bath at a pond in Berhampur police station area of Odisha’s Balasore district on Thursday.
The girl had reportedly gone alone to the village pond to take bath yesterday, said sources adding that in the meantime, four youths who were near the pond followed and allegedly assaulted her.
This apart, the accused persons also attempted to gangrape the girl and kill her by crashing her head on stone for protesting their rape attempt.
The girl, however, managed to escape from their clutches and reached the house. After learning about the shameful incident from her, the family members filed a police complaint and sought justice for her.
Acting on the allegation, Berhampur police initiated a probe immediately, nabbed all the four accused persons and forwarded them to the court today after completing the legal paper works.
Meanwhile, the girl along with her family members is in a state of fear as the accused had issued a death thread when she fled from their possessions.
