Four more Kendriya Vidyalayas to be set-up in Odisha

New Delhi: The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved setting up four new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) under the civil and defence sectors in Odisha.

According to reports, two KVs will be set-up at Champua and Anandpur in Keonjhar district while the other two will be built at Chhattarpur in Ganjam and at Gunupur in Rayagada district.

In total, the Cabinet has approved setting up of 50 new KVs in different states across the country.

Besides Odisha, the new KVs will be set up in Tamil Nadu, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala, Jammu and Kashmir, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Karnataka, West Bengal, Assam, Rajasthan, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and West Bengal.

At present, there are over 12,000 KVs across the country and three abroad.
