Four labourers die of asphyxiation while cleaning sewage tank in Nabarangpur
Four labourers died of suffocation after falling in sewage tank while they were cleaning in Nabarangpur district.
Nabarangpur: In a tragic incident, four labourers died due to asphyxiation while cleaning a sewage tank in Nabarangpur today. The incident happened in Barangpur of Padalguda in Nabarangpur district today.
According to information, the four labourers fell into the sewage tank while removing the manhole cover. They were cleaning the house of one Mohan Nag when the fell inside.
The fire brigade rushed to the spot to rescue them. They were taken to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment but were declared dead.
They have been identified as M.Santu, Amir Kura(27), Trilochan Bhatra (20), Lalu Rana Kamra (30). The town police reached the spot and started an investigation into the matter.
