Four including OCS aspirant caught cheating during OCS exam

Cuttack: One candidate of the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Preliminary Examination was detained for allegedly cheating using a Bluetooth device. Additionally, three others were arrested from outside the examination centre for aiding him.

As per reports, the student identified as Abhishek Rout had inserted a Bluetooth earpiece inside his ear and was receiving the correct answer via call.

The arrest took place from an engineering college in CDA, Cuttack where the exam for the 2025 OCS Prelims was being conducted.

Sources informed that police from the Markatnagar Police station reached the spot, investigated the issue and caught Abhishek using a mobile phone connection to obtain answers.

They seized a Bluetooth device and mobile from the arrested student, while the three other accused persons assisting him from outside were also nabbed by the authorities.

Police said that the concerned individuals have been taken into custody and a case was filed under the relevant provisions of the law.

An examination of the seized devices and the entire scam are underway.
