Bhubaneswar: Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who came to Odisha on a one-day visit, met Odisha Governor Raghubar Das today.
According to reports, both the former Vice President and Assam CM met the Odisha Governor in Raj Bhavan separately and had a courtesy meeting with him.
The meeting of the senior BJP leaders with Raghubar Das before the Jharkhand elections is considered to be very important as Das wants to contest the Assembly election. Besides, he had gone to Jamshedpur and stayed there for four days before returning to Bhubaneswar on September 25. Now, the Assam CM who is Jharkhand election in-charge of BJP is at Odisha Raj Bhavan.
It is to be noted here that Raghubar has already served as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand between 2014 and 2019.
