Former RCMS Secretary convicted in Vigilance corruption case
In a significant anti-corruption development, Odisha Vigilance has secured the conviction of Former Secretary of Regional Cooperative Marketing Society (RCMS) at Bonai in Sundargada district in a corruption case.
Sundargada: In a significant anti-corruption development, Odisha Vigilance has secured the conviction of Former Secretary of Regional Cooperative Marketing Society (RCMS) at Bonai in Sundargada district in a corruption case.
Dhirendra Kumar Satapathy, the former Secretary of RCMS (retired) was convicted by Special Judge, Vigilance, Sundargada and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 2 years and fine.
Satapathy was charge sheeted by Odisha Vigilance U/s 13(2) r/w 13(1)(c)(d) of PC Act,1988/409 IPC, for misappropriation of government money towards cost of fertilizers of RCMS, Bonai in the year 2003-2004.
Odisha Vigilance will now move the competent authority for stoppage of pension of Dhirendra Kumar Satapathy following his conviction.
