Forest dept patrolling boat stranded in Chilika lake due to techincal glitch

Chilika: A patrolling boat of forest department has been stranded in middle of the Chilika lake due to some technical glitch and four forest officials have been stuck.

According to sources, the boat has been stuck in the middle of the lake for more than two hours after it developed some technical glitch.

The forest personnel of Chilika Nuapada Wildlife division had left for patrolling in the Chilika lake as part of the drive for protection of the dolphins. While patrolling, the engine of the boat broke down and then got stuck.

On being informed about the technical fault, the authorities launched a rescue operation to bring forest officials back safely.
